Camping with British History - Dagri Bungalow

Dagri Bungalow is in the Galiyat region Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan located between the trek of Thandiani and Nathiagali at 2720 meters or 8924 feet above sea level. The actual name of the place is Dagri Nakka which literally means “The Lion’s Den”. Therefore the place wholly redefines its meaning because there are a lot of Leopards, leaping here and there. Dagri Bangla is in the lush green jungle from the Mirajani saddle on average it takes 5-6 hours hiking to reach there. The dense forest of this area is the main charm of this whole trek. with some of the trees hundreds of years old. If the weather is clear, Dagri also offers an awesome sunset view. Fresh water is available at 15 minutes’ walk from the rest house towards Northwest.

Dagri Bungalow is said to be a rest point for the British armies from British era while they crossed that region for journeys such as supplies and other logistic purposes

On the whole, this is a great alpine trek ideal for spending a nice weekend away from the daily hustle and bustle of our busy lives.
